106 Strings an Indian fusion trio mixing traditional Indian instrumentation of Tabla and Tandoor players Sukhmani Kaur Rayat and Kamaljeet Ajimal with the addition of Italian guitarist Giuliano Modarelli, filmed inside the idyllic setting of Leeds’s Kirkstall Abbey.
Abatimbo Burundi Drummers playing traditional Burundi style African drumming amidst joyous shouts of thanks and praise, booming complex rhythms and tribal chants shot at Huddersfield’s iconic landmark Castle Hill.
Claudio Kron’s papaJACA who combine Brazilian rhythm and melody with western influences showcased by a 6-piece live band filmed in front of the grand Oakwell Hall in Batley.
Dilzar Shanga a composer, singer and musician performing traditional Kurdish music fused with western influences. Joined by the Shanga band on the banks of the Humber beneath the magnificent Humber Bridge.
Eduardo Niebla a dominant force in flamenco jazz-fusion today. Following his flamenco gypsy jazz roots he bridges them with Indian, Arabic, classical and modern jazz producing electrifying, brilliant and poignantly poetic
guitar playing. Filmed inside the grandeur of the majestic Ripon Cathedral.
Eun-jung Kim Korean Geomungo player, performing traditional Korean music on the rustic coastline of Flamborough Head with a North Sea backdrop.
Rafiki Jazz world music collective joined by additional friends and musicians to conceive, write, arrange and record a brand new piece of music for a ‘Worldbeat’ session at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studios.
